With more than 40 years of combined experienced, the owners of Miami event planning firm Indigo Events and DCM Communications, a marketing consulting agency in Chattanooga, have come together to share best practices, industry insights, and actionable tips for branding your business, getting clients, and executing flawless events in the U.S. and abroad.
Gladys uses her expertise in planning events throughout the United States and Latin America to teach workshop attendees all the skills and the seven steps for creating a seamless event and strategies to transform memorable experiences, or as she likes to say “the Wow Without the Oops.”
She is also no stranger to building a business. More than 20 years ago Gladys founded Advanced Cosmetics, a top-line skin and body products manufacturing company in Bogotá, Colombia. She later sold the company and moved on to Pioneer International handling private investment portfolios and public relations, seminars and events for the company, further honing her expertise in "marketing through events."
In 2005 she founded Indigo Events, which has been recognized with several awards like, BizBash's Event Planner of the Year, Business Woman of the Year, The Best of The Knot and more. Indigo Events has also been certified by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, the City of Miami, Miami-Dade County, and Broward County. It has also been recognized for the Emerging Business List for Super Bowl XLI.
Channing Muller is the principal and founder of DCM Communications, a marketing consulting firm based out of Chattanooga, Tennessee. She works primarily with event professionals to grow and scale their businesses with refined marketing strategies developed through 1-1 and group coaching. She has more than a 15 years of experience in the communications industry serving in top roles within marketing, magazine & web editorial, advertising, and business development.
Prior to launching DCM she has served in a top international marketing position for Cision where she led marketing projects and initiatives for North America, including the successful redesign of 10 websites in 10 months across seven countries. She has also led and advertising campaign design and execution for more than 300 campaigns simultaneously while at Bisnow Media, and held the position of Miami Bureau Chief for BizBash, the leading media company for the live events industry. She continued on with BizBash as a Contributing Editor for seven years after moving from Miami to Washington D.C.
